The Judds’ domination of country music in the ’80s can’t be overstated. Though Naomi Judd and her daughter Wynonna’s first single didn’t crack the Top 10, the duo went on to rack up no fewer than 14 No. 1 hits from 1984 to 1989. Along the way, the pair also managed to nab just about every country duo award around. Though 1991 marked a formal end to their career, due to the elder Judd’s health issues, Naomi and Wynonna have made some special appearances together in subsequent years, keeping the flame alive in a new era.
